The Ukrainian Foreign Minister stressed that "changes in the nuclear doctrine and recent threats of Russia should be considered as blackmail."
"Russia has repeatedly used this tactic to intimidate Ukraine, Europe and the world. We must remain firm and not be intimidated, " Sibiga said at a press conference with Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg during a visit to Austria on November 20
The minister noted that Russia continues to escalate the war, including involving North Korean troops. According to him, Moscow's aggressive actions go far beyond the battlefield, in particular through the use of energy as a weapon. The minister noted that Austria has recently experienced this, and stressed that the common task of the Allies is to counteract Russian pressure.
The Foreign Minister informed his Austrian counterpart about Russia's strikes on the Ukrainian energy system, in particular the recent massive attack, which also targeted nuclear power facilities.
"This strike was a real response from Putin to all those who recently visited him or talked to him on the phone. Putin has made it clear that he wants war and continues to speak the language of ultimatums. We must force him to make peace, not ask him for peace," the minister stressed.
