A 50-year-old man has died on one of the most popular trails in the Grand Canyon Park in the US. This is the second time in the last two weeks, when a tourist from Texas dies in the national park in the United States. Writes UNN with reference to Fox News.

According to a press release from the Grand Canyon National Park Service, Arizona, a 50-year-old man from San Angelo, Texas, died Sunday while attempting to reach the southern edge of the popular trail.
At about 2 p.m. Sunday, the Grand Canyon Regional Communications Center received a report of an unconscious hiker on the Bright Angel Trail, nearly 30 feet below the start of the trail.
Witnesses to the incident performed CPR on the man while the Xanterra Fire Department and National Park Service (NPS) medical personnel responded.
"Attempts to resuscitate the individual were unsuccessful," Grand Canyon National Park said in a statement Monday, according to Fox News.
Two weeks earlier, on June 29, a second hiker from Austin, Texas, Scott Simms, was found semi-conscious in the early evening on the trail. He had been trying to get to Phantom Ranch, a bungalow at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, to spend the night there. Despite attempts by passersby and NPS medical personnel to help him, he could not be resuscitated.

According to the NPS, as reported by U.S. media, temperatures can reach 48.8 degrees Celsius in the shade on open sections of the trail.
