Since July, border guards have recorded a decrease in the number of attempts to illegally cross the border. Due to the upcoming cold weather, it is expected that the number of people planning to cross the border will only decrease. This was stated by SBGS spokesman Andriy Demchenko during a telethon, UNN reports.
Details
"Every day, our border patrols, both on the green section of the border and our inspectors at checkpoints, expose those who are trying to cross the border illegally. We continue to record a downward trend in the number of people planning illegal trips. This situation has been observed since July. In fact, in August, September, October and these days of November, the dynamics are exclusively on the decline," said Demchenko.
He noted that weather conditions contribute to the reduction of attempts to illegally cross the border.
"Given that the cold weather is still ahead, we should expect that the number of people planning to cross the border will only decrease," added Demchenko.
