Russians shot five Ukrainian prisoners of war in Zaporizhia - Prosecutor General's Office

Law enforcement officers have launched an investigation into the shooting of five Ukrainian prisoners of war by the enemy near Novodarovka in Zaporizhia. About it UNN reports with reference to the Office of the prosecutor general. 

According to preliminary data, on November 24, 2024, near the village of Novodarovka, Pologovsky district, Zaporozhye region, where active military operations continue, servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation shot five Ukrainian defenders out of six captured

- stated in the message of the OGP.

As reported, law enforcement officers have identified a unit of the army of the invaders, whose servicemen are now being checked for involvement in this crime. Investigators also received a video recording of the moment of the shooting.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated under the procedural leadership of the Zaporozhye regional prosecutor's office on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Earlier, UNN reported that in the Donetsk region, the invaders captured and shot 5 Ukrainian soldiers who were hiding in a private house.
