Ruslan Kravchenko: A modern shelter of almost 300 square meters was built at a lyceum in Kyiv region

In the Kyiv region, Brovary Lyceum No. 4 built a modern shelter of almost 300 square meters. The shelter is designed for 250 children. In total, more than 1.2 thousand shelters have already been equipped in educational institutions in Kyiv region . This was reported by the head of the RMA Ruslan Kravchenko, according to UNN . 

We are increasing the number of modern and comfortable shelters in Kyiv region. A new shelter of almost 300 square meters was built in Brovary Lyceum No. 4.

He said that work  began in August last year.  The shelter was built on the basis of co-financing - at the expense of the state subvention and the community.

According to the head of the RMA, the lyceum had no shelter on the territory until now. 

"Children study in two shifts. During an emergency, students use a shelter in a nearby residential building that can accommodate 540 people. From now on, kids from grades 1-4 will quickly go to the newly built shelter in the lyceum yard in case of danger," said Kravchenko. 

According to him, the shelter is designed for 250 children. The shelter has 2 entrances. There are all the necessary conditions for the unimpeded movement of people with disabilities and other people with limited mobility. We immediately checked the operation of the special elevator.

The shelter is also equipped with a generator, sanitary facilities, a medical unit, and a food storage room. A modern ventilation system has been installed, and there are supplies of drinking water.
