His government is "absolutely interested in the return to our country of all Ukrainians who fled in the first days of the war or after it," Shmyhal said. He reportedly spoke about this with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during his visit to Berlin.
"All Ukrainian refugees are welcome in Ukraine, during or after this war, we are waiting for these people," Shmyhal said. Kyiv, according to Die Welt, has also already discussed the technical details of the return with the German federal government: "We agreed with the German side and our new minister of national unity to work together and find solutions on how we can return all Ukrainians as soon as possible," Shmyhal said.
