By the time this idea was born, Rudder had checked in 60-70 three-star restaurants. So he focused his travels exclusively on the remaining three-Michelin-starred establishments.
As of today, it has already traveled to all 145 of the world's top restaurants, in 20 countries.
How much money did Matthias Ruhl spend on his hobby?
"I estimate about 100,000 euros for food and another 100,000 euros for transportation costs," says the German.
Rudder ate the most expensive menu at Ultraviolet restaurant in Shanghai.
