Mykyta Vasylenko, a lecturer at the Institute of Journalism of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, made a scandalous statement about peacekeepers with money and "hungry" Ukrainian women.  Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubnets has already reacted to the unethical statements and has already prepared letters to the competent authorities, UNN reports.

"Today, a video was circulating on social media where an odious professor at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv voiced his opinion about Ukrainian women, which outraged society," Lubinets said.

In addition, the ombudsman recalled that the professor had already been involved in a scandal about a year ago, and our institution received a collective appeal from students about him. After Lubinets responded, the university brought him to disciplinary responsibility and the professor was reprimanded.

"This is the second time I've responded to his statements - I've written letters to the Ministry of Education and Science to exercise state supervision (control) over the activities of the educational institution and to the university to demand an internal investigation. I also see the need to contact the Security Service of Ukraine. Unethical behavior has crossed the line, so the competent authorities must check it and respond appropriately!" - he summarized.

Context

In an interview with Oleksandr Shelest, Vasylenko suggested that at least 40,000 "men with money, hungry for women" could arrive in Ukraine as part of a peacekeeping mission.

In addition, in his opinion, foreign peacekeepers who "have not been tested at the front, but have been brought up on good European food" will be of interest to "thousands of hungry Ukrainian women" who "did not have time to leave, or whose husbands were killed or injured.
