During his visit to Lviv, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced his decision to help restore the historic Heller building, known as Villa Sonechko, which was destroyed during a Russian missile strike on September 4, UNN reports.
"Today I visited Heller's house (Villa Sonechko - ed.), which was destroyed during a massive Russian attack. We as Poland decided to help restore the house. I saw this place of remembrance," Tusk said during the briefing.
Later, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi told the story of the villa "Sunshine" that was destroyed by Russia on September 4:
"This is a historic building on Melnyk Street, which is a local architectural monument. The villa was commissioned by the director of the Lviv City Theater, Ludwik Heller, over a hundred years ago. The building got its name because of the sun on the facades made in wood carvings and stucco moldings.
He reminded that during the massive missile attack on Lviv, the roof and part of the building were significantly damaged.
According to preliminary estimates, the estimated cost of the work is UAH 20 million.

On September 4, at about 5 a.m., the enemy launched a combined attack on Lviv with rockets and "shaheds." According to the city council, 188 buildings were destroyed, including 5 educational institutions, 2 art centers, 2 medical institutions, and the Church of St. George the Victorious of the OCU.
As a result of the Russian attack, 7 people were killed, including 1 child, 66 were injured, 10 of them children.
