The head of the Kiev RMA showed representatives of the participating countries of the International Transport Forum the consequences of Russian aggression at Gostomel airport, where the Mriya plane was destroyed, and the consequences in Irpen.

Participants of the intergovernmental organization International Transport Forum visited Kyiv region. These are representatives of 20 states, the European Commission and international financial organizations that took part in the High-Level Dialogue for Ukraine. Its goal is to develop joint effective mechanisms for the restoration and development of transport infrastructure
He noted that international partners saw firsthand the consequences of the destruction caused by Russian aggression, and also visited the airport in Gostomel, where from the first days of the full-scale invasion there were fierce battles and the legendary Mriya plane was destroyed.
He also said that the participants visited the blown-up Romanovsky bridge in Irpen, which is called the "road of life", where in 2022 more than 40 thousand people were evacuated through it.
A new one has already been built next to it to restore communication. But there are still a lot of transport facilities that were destroyed as a result of the fighting both in Ukraine as a whole and in the Kiev region in particular. And we are in dire need of the help of our international partners. The invaders caused large-scale damage to the transport infrastructure.
