For Plus and Pro users, GPT-5.6 Sol in Chat has been updated to provide more reliable fact handling and more focused responses. A new slider allows users to choose how much computing power ChatGPT will use to consider each response.
For free users, the default model has been updated to GPT-5.6 Luna, and access has been expanded through unlimited text chats. For queries requiring deeper analysis, the new Think button allows users to receive responses with a higher level of reasoning for more complex tasks.
It is noted that the model provides more focused responses, adapts the level of detail to the query, avoids unnecessary formatting, and offers useful corrections when simply agreeing with the user is not enough. For Plus and Pro users, the same model is now used both for quick responses and deeper analysis, providing a more consistent experience.
