Odesa Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine thanked the head of the regional state administration Oleh Kiper for renaming local streets, UNN reports.

In particular, we are talking about the emergence of streets (avenues) in Odesa named after St. Volodymyr the Great and St. Yaroslav the Wise, the Grand Dukes of Kievan Rus-Ukraine.
These are outstanding princes who built the Kyivan state and the Holy Orthodox Church on the lands that their great-great-grandchildren, courageous soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are now liberating from the centuries-old occupier to restore historical justice. Streets renamed in honor of our prominent princes by order of the head of the Odesa Regional Military State Administration Oleh Kiper
The church thanked the community, the regional authorities of Odesa region, activists and historians for restoring and preserving the memory of the outstanding builders of Ukraine, Saints Volodymyr the Great and Yaroslav the Wise.
