Last night, Russian invaders set a fire at the technical water supply facility on the territory of the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP, no exceedances of control levels of radioactive emissions and discharges were recorded, the Ministry of Energy reported on Monday, UNN reports.
Generation and consumption
"No power outages are planned for today. Power engineers continue to keep the situation in the power system stable," the statement said.
Over the past day, the Ukrainian power grid, as indicated, received surplus electricity from the Polish power grid.
At the same time, all Ukrainians were urged to use electricity rationally and economically, especially during peak hours - from 7:00 to 11:00 and from 17:00 to 22:00. This helps the stable operation of the power system.
Power outages
Chernihiv region: as a result of hostile shelling, household consumers lost power. A total of 260 customers in 4 settlements were left without electricity.
Southern region: due to technological disruptions, substations and household consumers, as well as renewable energy facilities, were cut off from power. The power supply has been restored.
Due to bad weather, 13 settlements in Kyiv region are without power in the morning.
Over the past day, power engineers restored power to 8,224 consumers who were cut off from electricity as a result of the hostilities.
In total, 495 settlements remain without electricity supply as of this morning due to the hostilities and technical violations.
Situation at ZNPP
"Zaporizhzhia region: around 20:00 a fire broke out at the technical water supply facility on the territory of the occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. As a result, the cooling tower and other technological equipment may be damaged. The fire was localized in the morning. There were no violations of safe operation limits and conditions. No exceedances of control levels for emissions and discharges of radioactive substances were recorded," the Ministry of Energy reported.
"The water level in the cooling pond is 14.69 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant," the statement said.
