An additional meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine's defense (in the Ramstein format) may take place in December, with negotiations at the highest level as one of the options, said Major General Christian Freuding, head of the planning staff and the special group for Ukraine of the German Ministry of Defense, UNN reports with reference to Rzeczpospolita.

Freuding said that negotiations on the format of the meeting are underway, and the possibility of organizing a meeting at the level of state leaders, with the participation of US President Joe Biden, is also being considered.
The general does not believe that the fact that the US presidency and executive branch are expected to change in January is a problem for the negotiations. On the contrary, he believes it will help confirm the desire to continue supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It is known that Germany has provided an aid package and is preparing to supply new air defense systems.
