From today, all men are required to have a military registration document when crossing the border. As of 07:00, there are about 40 refusals to allow men to travel abroad. This was reported to UNN by the State Border Guard Service spokesman Andriy Demchenko.
Details
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reminded that as of July 17, the availability of a military registration document when crossing the border is mandatory for all men aged 18 to 60. The document can be either paper or electronic.
In case of its absence, border guards refuse to cross the border to leave Ukraine. Another reason for refusal will be the presence in the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Persons Liable for Military Service and Reservists of information about the submission of such a person for search by the National Police.
In a commentary to UNN, Demchenko said that as of 07:00, the mandatory availability of military registration documents for men does not affect the queues at the border.
As of 7 a.m., there are about 40 (refusals to allow men to cross the border - ed.). This does not affect the queues at the moment. From 00:00 to 7:00, we did not observe any situations that would affect the reduction of border crossings, non-standard or conflict situations. There are some refusals, but I cannot say that it is an extremely catastrophic number. Someone forgot their military registration document, someone did not have it, but most of those who crossed the border, we are talking about men, had a military registration document
Demchenko also noted that there are different categories of men who are allowed to cross the border.
Thus, according to the SBGS, the military registration documents of men who have the right to cross the border due to deferment from conscription or exclusion from military registration for health reasons must contain information about obtaining such a deferment or a certificate in the form specified in Annex 6 of the Procedure for the Conscription of Citizens for Military Service during Mobilization for a Special Period.
In addition, Demchenko urged people to understand the rules that apply at the border and to prepare in advance.
If someone does not have a military registration document, it is mandatory to make one, as this applies to all men aged 18 to 60,
