In the Kyiv region, a man recently threatened to blow up a high-rise building in Bila Tserkva, police served him with a notice of suspicion, the regional police department informed UNN.

"The other day, at midnight, the police received a report from the State Emergency Service that a 44-year-old resident of Bila Tserkva had called them with threats to carry out an explosion in a high-rise building," the police reported on Telegram.
The police were also contacted by the defendant's wife, "who was informed by the attacker in a telephone conversation about his dangerous intentions.
Upon arrival, the police reportedly evacuated about 150 residents of the building together with rescuers.
"The attacker, who had locked himself in his apartment, continued to threaten to blow up the building," the police said.
Law enforcement officers reportedly detained the suspect in his apartment. According to the report, the man's alcohol level reached 1.35 ppm.
After the inspection of the residential building, no explosive devices, substances or structurally similar objects were found.
Investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion for knowingly falsely reporting an explosion (Part 1 of Art. 259 of the Criminal Code). The suspect faces up to 6 years in prison.
