Law enforcement officials have opened an investigation into a man's explosion of a grenade in Kropyvnytskyi. UNN reports this with reference to the police of Kirovohrad region.
The incident took place around 7 p.m. on December 19 this year on Yevhen Telnov Street. A 35-year-old resident of Kirovohrad region detonated an explosive device for hooligan motives, throwing it between the walls of two residential buildings. As a result of the incident, none of the citizens were injured, and the building was not damaged
It is reported that the area was inspected and people who were near the site of the explosion were questioned.
"As a result of the measures taken, the patrol officers identified the citizen. It was a resident of the region. During further investigative actions, another explosive device was found at the man's place of residence. The seized material evidence was sent for examination," the police said.
The offender was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
"Criminal proceedings were initiated over the incident under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Hooliganism"," the police said.

In Kropyvnytskyi, law enforcement officers detained a man who detonated a grenade.
The National Police reported that in the wake of the incident in Zakarpattia, where a deputy detonated grenades during a session in a village council, a mechanism will be developed to strengthen security measures in view of wartime in local governments and state institutions.
Later, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said that Ukraine plans to install metal detectors and baggage scanners in public places.
