"The director of the zoo reported to the police that one of the employees went to clean the enclosure and was attacked by a leopard around 10 o'clock today," the statement reads.
It is reported that, upon arrival, police found another employee in the leopard enclosure who tried to help the wounded man and was trapped.
"So to save people's lives, the police had to use their weapons and neutralize the animal. The wounded man was taken to the hospital. The police are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. It will be legally classified later," the police said.

Police in Rivne region conducted an investigation into the circumstances of the discovery of the corpses of a lioness and other animals on the territory of the Kostopil plant. The investigation found that all the bodies had been delivered in compliance with legal procedures and required documents.
