Since the beginning of the voluntary declaration campaign, residents of the capital have legalized thousands of firearms and millions of rounds of ammunition for them, taking advantage of the opportunity to legally register found or retained items. This was reported by the Kyiv police, writes UNN.

The official legalization procedure began on November 24, 2024. During the campaign, 2,371 city residents contacted the capital’s police units.
As a result of citizens’ appeals, 2,500 firearms and 1,295,672 rounds of ammunition for them were declared.
The police remind residents that this campaign provides an opportunity for those who have found or are keeping weapons and ammunition without a permit to declare them and obtain the right to legally possess them.
