German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall is close to €20 billion in Italian defense orders. This was reported today by the German newspaper "Handelsblatt", citing sources in the company, UNN reports .

The Italian government wants to buy 350 Lynx infantry fighting vehicles and more than 200 Panther tanks from the German company Rheinmetall.
The 15-year order is expected to cost about 20 million euros, part of which will be spent on equipment maintenance.
In addition, the order is likely to be supplemented by so-called auxiliary vehicles, which are needed to evacuate damaged tanks. According to reports, the contract may be officially signed as early as this week.
