Pezeshkian described the situation between Iran and the United States as a state of "neither war nor peace." According to him, members of Iran's Supreme National Security Council consider the agreement the best possible solution, one that corresponds to the country's dignity, wisdom, and national interests.
The Iranian president emphasized that the memorandum does not entail Tehran's capitulation.

He also noted that Iran's political course is determined by the country's supreme leader, and that the authorities intend to adhere to this course.
According to Pezeshkian, the current agreement gives Iran an opportunity to resolve the situation while taking national interests into account and avoid further escalation of relations with the United States.
