In the first quarter of 2024, the total volume of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Odesa region increased by 21%, reaching USD 1,730.2 million. This is USD 299.7 million more than at the end of 2023 and exceeds the pre-war level of investment as of the end of 2021. This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Oleh Kiper, UNN reports.

According to Mr. Kiper, these figures show that foreign investors have regained confidence in the economic stability and development prospects of Odesa region and demonstrate their willingness to invest in the development of local business and infrastructure.
"Transport, IT and industry remain the main sectors that attract investors.
Thanks to these positive changes, Odesa region has risen to fifth place in terms of FDI among Ukrainian regions and has become the absolute leader in terms of investment growth (21%)," he summarized.
