The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the start and end dates of the academic year in Ukrainian schools, which will begin on September 1, 2026, and end on June 30, 2027. This was reported by UNN with reference to government resolution No. 847 "On the start of the academic year during martial law in Ukraine."
Set the duration of the 2026/2027 academic year in general secondary education institutions from September 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027
Regional and Kyiv city military (state) administrations, together with the founders of educational institutions, are to ensure the organization of the start of the academic year depending on the security situation in each individual administrative-territorial unit.
The resolution enters into force on the day of its publication and applies during martial law.
Reminder
Applicants can submit documents to vocational education institutions until September 1; no NMT is required for admission. The duration of study ranges from 6 months to 3 years, and students can receive a scholarship from UAH 1,250.
