In a high school in the city of Tacloban in the central part of the Philippines, two armed students opened fire, resulting in the deaths of three schoolchildren and at least 20 people wounded. This is reported by Associated Press citing police, writes UNN.

The attack occurred on Monday at the National High School of San Jose, where more than 1,500 students study.
According to police, the suspects aged 14 and 15 were detained. They were students of the same educational institution.
The suspects reported bullying at school
Regional police chief Jason Capoy said that 15 of the 20 victims received gunshot wounds. The rest were injured during the escape, when they jumped out of windows or fell in the crowd.
According to the law enforcement officer, the attackers broke into two classrooms.

During the initial interrogation, the detainees stated that they had been bullied at school. Currently, the police are checking this information and establishing the motives of the attack.
According to the investigation, one of the suspects used a 9mm pistol, which he received from his police aunt. The second was armed with a .38 caliber revolver.
Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered a thorough investigation of the tragedy and to strengthen security measures in schools, workplaces, and public places.
The police reported that after the completion of investigative actions, the minors will be handed over to the supervision of social services.
