In Rivne region, two cars collided, ten people were injured in the accident, four of them children, and criminal proceedings were opened, the regional police reported, UNN reports.

The accident occurred on August 8 at about 15:30 on the Kyiv-Kovel-Yahodyn highway near the village of Mayunychi, Varash district.
It is known that six adults aged 18 to 60 years and four children aged one to 15 years were injured in the collision between a Volkswagen and a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
The victims were taken to the hospital and their condition is being assessed by doctors.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings under the preliminary legal classification of Part 1 Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road safety rules).
