In the Obolonskyi district, an intoxicated driver stole a Tesla after a road conflict. The perpetrator demanded money for a tire, but was promptly detained.

In the Obolonskyi district of Kyiv, a road conflict between drivers ended with the theft of a Tesla car. Patrol officers promptly located and detained the man who illegally seized the vehicle. This was reported by the Kyiv Patrol Police, according to UNN.

According to law enforcement officers, a report of an illegal seizure of a Tesla car was received via the 112 emergency line.

At the scene, the complainant told inspectors that a conflict arose between him and the driver of a Mercedes vehicle while driving. After the argument, the Mercedes driver got into the unlocked Tesla and drove away.

At the same time, according to the Tesla owner, the man stated that he would return the car only after compensation for an allegedly damaged wheel.

Patrol officers promptly established the suspect's location. During the conversation, the man confessed to the act and also showed clear signs of alcohol intoxication.

The driver agreed to undergo a test using a Drager device. The result was 1.51 ppm of alcohol.

A protocol was drawn up against the man under Part 1 of Article 130 of the Code of Administrative Offenses – driving a vehicle while intoxicated. An investigative-operational group was also called to the scene.

Investigators detained the man in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and, under the procedural guidance of the Obolonskyi District Prosecutor's Office, notified him of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 289 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – illegal seizure of a vehicle.
