In Kyiv, a minibus driver was robbed, the suspect was detained after trying to escape through the forest, the Main Department of the National Police in the capital reported, UNN writes.

The Darnytsia Police Department received information about a robbery. The applicant reported that near the Boryspilska metro station, "a man who had seized money from a bus driver and tried to escape" was detained.
"At the scene, the police found that at the final stop of public transport, a 24-year-old local resident took advantage of the driver's distraction to steal 1700 hryvnias from the bus. The man ran through the forest, and the bus drivers caught up with the fugitive and handed him over to law enforcement," the police said.
The man was detained. Investigators served him a notice of suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 186 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - robbery committed in wartime. The sanction of the article provides for a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
For the duration of the pre-trial investigation, the court imposed on the suspect a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention without bail, the police said.
