A drunk driver rammed into a bus stop in Netishyn while transporting three children aged 10 to 15. No one was injured in the accident, and an alcohol test recorded 1.59 ppm in the driver's system. Law enforcement officers have already filed three administrative reports against the offender. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine, according to UNN.
The traffic accident occurred on June 7 at approximately 6:43 PM in the city of Netishyn on Solovyivska Street. A 44-year-old local resident, driving a "ZAZ-1102" car, lost control and crashed into an empty bus stop
Police officers promptly arrived at the scene. While speaking with the driver, law enforcement detected signs of alcohol intoxication and offered him a breathalyzer test using a "Drager" device. The result was 1.59 ppm.
Also in the car with the driver were his three minor children – aged 15, 12, and 10. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Police filed administrative materials against the driver under Part 1 of Art. 130 (Driving a vehicle while intoxicated), Art. 124 (Violation of traffic rules resulting in an accident), and Part 2 of Art. 126 (Driving a vehicle by a person who does not have the right to drive a vehicle) of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
Law enforcement officers emphasize once again: driving under the influence of alcohol is strictly prohibited. Such actions pose a serious danger both to the driver and to other road users. Compliance with traffic rules is the key to everyone's safety.
