SBU cyber specialists prevented the transfer of information about the routes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces columns in Kharkiv region to Russia. This was possible due to the timely exposure of a Russian intelligence agent who was monitoring the redeployment of the Defense Forces towards the front line. This was reported by the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine, according to UNN.
The offender was particularly focused on the routes of movement of Ukrainian military tanks and their approximate number. At the same time, the offender was trying to identify logistics centers that carry out maintenance and repair of heavy armored vehicles,

However, SBU officers thwarted the enemy's plans and detained a Russian informant on an attempt to pass on intelligence. He was a 45-year-old resident of a Kharkiv suburb, an ideological supporter of racism.
At the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, he moved to Poltava region, from where he tried to contact Russian special services on his own initiative. To do this, the man published his own posts on pro-Kremlin Telegram channels, praising Putin and heroizing Russian troops. In one of these chats, he was offered covert cooperation and sent a list of intelligence tasks.
To collect information, the offender used his acquaintances in Kharkiv region, asking for the necessary facts during friendly conversations. During a search of the offender's rented apartment, the SBU seized computer equipment and mobile phones with evidence of criminal activity.
The SBU investigators served the detainee a notice of suspicion under Part 1 Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information on sending, moving weapons, armament through the territory of Ukraine). The offender is currently in custody. He faces imprisonment.
