Germany suspends 232 million euros worth of development projects in Georgia because of the country's rejection of European integration. Thousands of Georgians protest against the pro-Russian course of the Georgian Dream and demand new elections.

Germany cuts financial support to Georgia - development projects worth more than 230 million euros have been suspended, UNN reports with reference to DW.

Development projects totaling 232 million euros have been suspended due to Georgia's plans to "freeze" EU accession talks, the German Foreign Ministry has said. The purpose of the cooperation was to support Georgia on its path to European integration, but due to the Georgian Dream policy, this is impossible, the German ministry said.

For several weeks, thousands of Georgians have been demonstrating for a return to a pro-European course and the re-held October parliamentary elections, which were declared victorious by the pro-Russian Georgian Dream party.
