Law enforcement officers have exposed a funeral service official whose negligence led to more than UAH 1.6 million in losses to the budget of the capital's territorial community. UNN reports this with reference to the Kyiv police.

The police found that during the period when the man was acting as the head of the Bilychanske cemetery of the funeral service, the utility company employed a cleaner who did not attend the place of work, but received a salary. As a result, over 2 years, almost UAH 1 million 145 thousand was unjustifiably credited to the woman's bank account.
Later, the same man went to work as an acting manager at the City Cemetery of the Funeral Service, where there was also a fictitious cleaner who was unreasonably paid. During the year of fictitious employment, she was paid more than 500 thousand hryvnias.
As a result, due to the official's negligence, the budget suffered losses in the amount of more than UAH 1.6 million
Investigators served the offender a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for imprisonment for up to five years with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years and a fine of two hundred fifty to seven hundred fifty tax-free minimum incomes or without it.
