Spain continues to deal with the aftermath of severe flooding. Debris and streams of mud have clogged drains in many towns in Valencia, and they are still unusable. To remove the clogs, workers are applying pressurized water to soften the mud and pull it through another pipe.
At least 100 truck elevators are deployed in the affected areas, including 25 in the Municipality of Payport.
At this point, 60% of the Piporta sewer system has been cleaned out, but the sewer pipes have not yet been drained.
There is a serious sewerage problem in Piport. Therefore, we cannot pour water or waste into the sewer system because it will make the problem worse
In addition, the garages are still full of mud, which can lead to leaks in the water supply network. Local residents have joined the cleanup efforts and are manually scrubbing the premises of clay mixed with water. At the same time, numerous drinking water samples have been taken, which have shown - the water is fit for use.
According to Spanish health officials, few infections were detected and those that were, turned out to be minor.

The Spanish government approved a package of aid to flood-affected regions worth 10.6 billion euros. The funds will be used to rebuild infrastructure and help people in 78 municipalities.
