Five more Ukrainian children, including four siblings aged 7-12 and a 17-year-old boy, were rescued from the Russian occupation in Kherson region and brought to the government-controlled territory, where they are receiving the necessary assistance.

Another five children left the temporarily occupied Kherson region for the territory controlled by Ukraine. Ukraine provides them with all the necessary assistance. This was reported by the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, UNN reports.

I am pleased to announce that five more Ukrainian children have left the TOT in Kherson region for the territory controlled by Ukraine. These are four siblings (12, 11, 10, 7 years old) and a 17-year-old brave young man.

- said the Ukrainian ombudsman.

Details

It is noted that the mother of 4 children reported how those who refused to receive Russian passports were treated in their village. According to her, the children were threatened for refusing to go to an already Russian school, and Russians beat their father in front of the children.

Now the children who did not go to school during the occupation have tablets to catch up on their studies. This gift was made for them by philanthropists from the Smile.UA charity foundation.

One of the liberated girls needs to work with a psychologist, because her mother noticed that she cries in her sleep.

"A 17-year-old boy who left the occupation on his own was hiding from the Russians because of his age, as he could have been forced to join the Russian armed forces. So, in order not to take up arms and fight against his own countrymen, he decided to move to the territory controlled by his homeland. This is the act of a true patriot! I am proud of him!

- Lubinets wrote.

The Ombudsman said that his office, together with partners and government agencies, is currently helping all children with paperwork, enrollment in educational institutions, etc. Specialists will also work with the children to provide the necessary medical, psychological, humanitarian and social assistance. Later, the relevant government agencies will record all the facts of Russian crimes they have witnessed. This is done at the Center for the Protection of Children's Rights, which is designed to assess the needs of returned children and consolidate efforts to help them and their families.

Ukrainian children who are in the TOT or in the Russian Federation often look for ways to return home or leave for the territory controlled by Ukraine on their own. Therefore, the thesis that they want to return to Russia is doubtful and far-fetched, because our state provides the base that is necessary after their return. Finally, these children will feel free and have a good childhood!

- Lubinets summarized.

Recall

On March 9, 10 Ukrainian children who had been under occupation since February 24 returned to Ukraine . They were able to return home thanks to the Save Ukraine team. These children, after a long separation, finally hugged their loved ones, and now all families are safe.
