The former mayor of Zdolbuniv, Rivne region, is suspected of negligence, which resulted in the city budget losing almost 500 thousand hryvnias . This was reported by the Rivne Regional Prosecutor's Office, UNN reports.
Under the procedural supervision of the Zdolbuniv District Prosecutor's Office, the former head of Zdolbuniv was served a notice of suspicion of official negligence that caused grave consequences," the prosecutor's office said.
According to the investigation, while performing his duties, the mayor failed to check compliance with the terms of the agreement on equity participation in the development of the city's infrastructure during the construction of a residential building.
"This led to an unreasonable reduction in the amount of such equity participation and a shortfall of almost half a million hryvnias to the special fund of the city budget," the prosecutor's office said.
In addition, it is reported that the court invalidated part of the equity participation agreement and ordered the developer to pay the lost revenues to the community budget.
