The Hagstrom Viking II electric guitar, played by Elvis Presley during his 1968 Comeback Special, is up for auction. This was reported by Rolling Stone, according to UNN.

It is noted that Sotheby's is selling the Swedish semi-hollow body instrument that Elvis used while performing songs such as "Blue Suede Shoes," "Trouble," and "Guitar Man." He also holds the guitar on the cover of his 1969 album Elvis in Memphis. It is estimated to sell for between $1 million and $2 million.

It is indicated that bidding for the online auction will begin on April 9 and run until April 23. The guitar will be on display at Sotheby's New York Breuer Building from April 13 to April 20.
"Unlike most of Elvis's guitars, which were acoustic, this is an electric Hagstrom, known for its distinctive look and sound. Its rarity and association with this unique performance make it one of the most iconic instruments associated with Elvis," says Inciardi.
