Before the start of the match, fans at the "Ternopil City Stadium named after R. Shukhevych" in Ternopil were shown the updated Ukrainian Cup trophy, which was presented this season.
The first half started sharply with the hosts, in particular Vitaliy Dakhnovskyi failed to beat Ruslan Neshcheret after a one-on-one. In the very next attack, "Dynamo" opened the scoring: Vitaliy Buyalskyi carried the ball through the center, passed it to Nazar Voloshyn on the flank, who, with a touch, rolled it to Matviy Ponomarenko, who only had to successfully put his foot in and send the ball into the empty corner of the goal - 1:0.
An unpleasant incident occurred during a "Dynamo" attack: during a counterattack, "Bukovyna" player Andriy Busko fell on the field. After a pause, the player was carried off the field on a stretcher and taken to an ambulance. It later became known that the player had lost consciousness.
The footballer had a severe headache and does not remember the moment. Doctors emphasized that this could have happened due to an impact or vascular redistribution; perhaps Busko has problems with blood vessels. The footballer went to the regional hospital for a CT scan of the brain to find out whether it was indeed an impact or vascular problems.
At the end of the first half, "Dynamo" doubled the score: Buyalskyi in the center passed to Voloshyn, who carried the ball almost from the center of the field, and accurately shot into the far corner of Herman Penkov's goal.
The second half began with a "Bukovyna" onslaught on "Dynamo"'s goal, having several excellent chances. In particular, Dakhnovskyi had a chance to score, but Neshcheret, who blocked the ball with his face, stood in the way. Kyrylo Prokopchuk had a chance to score, but from a deadly position he shot over the goal.
Finally, 10 minutes before the end, Ponomarenko scored a brace, again assisted by Voloshyn - 3:0 and the "White-Blues" are going to the Ukrainian Cup final, where they will meet the winner of the pair "Metalist 1925" - "Chernihiv", who will play their match on Wednesday, April 22.
