Against the backdrop of a full-scale war in Ukraine, Polish President Andrzej Duda has called on NATO to increase defense spending from two to three percent of GDP. This was reported by UNN with reference to Polish Radio.

Details

It is noted that this is a proposal presented earlier, during Duda's visit to the United States. Also on April 4, Andrzej Duda presented his letter during a speech at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw.

According to him, he sent the proposal to all NATO leaders and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

In its policy, Russia is returning to the times of the Cold War. So now it (Russia - ed.) has to face the response it received in those days. Back then, NATO countries spent 3% of their GDP on defense
