DPRK Foreign Minister Choe Song-hui announced that the United States and South Korea are allegedly preparing a nuclear strike. She also confirmed her intention to support Russia in the war against Ukraine. She did not provide evidence to support her claim that a strike was being prepared, but spoke of regular consultations between Washington and Seoul, during which, in her words, "such conspiracies took place.
Hui said that the situation on the Korean Peninsula could become "explosive" at any moment and told Lavrov that North Korea needs to strengthen its nuclear arsenal and improve its readiness to retaliate if necessary.
Also, the DPRK Foreign Minister said that North Korea seeks to help Russia in its war with Ukraine.

A senior South Korean presidential official shared an estimate by South Korean and allied intelligence that at least 11,000 North Korean troops have been sent to Russia, some of them to the western region of Russia near the border with Ukraine.
Mike Turner , chairman of the US House Intelligence Committee, has called for consideration of an attack on North Korean troops in Ukraine. Turner also supports Ukraine's right to attack military targets in Russia.
