Prime minister Mamadou Ouri Ba said the stampede in the West led to numerous casualties on Sunday and called for calm.
One of the doctors, who did not want to give his name, told AFP news agency that several bodies were "lined up" in a local hospital and the morgue was overcrowded.
Local media reported that police fired tear gas after fans of the visiting team, Labe, threw stones in the direction of the field, angry at the referee.
There are no official data on the victims yet.
"It all started with an appeal against the judge's decision. Then the fans invaded the field," one eyewitness told AFP.
