A criminal proceeding has been opened over the death of a mobilized man on the way to a training center in Zakarpattia region with a preliminary legal qualification - abuse of power or authority by a military official. This was reported on Tuesday by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, UNN reports.
The Transcarpathian Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office of the Western Region has registered a criminal investigation into the death of a mobilized soldier on his way to a training center in Transcarpathian region. The incident occurred on April 23 in Lviv region. Preliminary legal classification - abuse of power or authority by a military official (Part 5 of Article 426-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)
Reportedly, the causes of the man's death and the circumstances that could have led to it are currently being established.
The pre-trial investigation was entrusted to the investigators of the territorial department of the State Bureau of Investigation in Lviv.

On the way to the training center, the conscript had an epileptic seizure , the escort officer provided first aid and called an ambulance, but the medics did not arrive in time, and the incident became the reason for an official inspection.
