The dispute between the government and the president has been ongoing for several months. Pavel believes that, according to diplomatic protocol, the head of state should automatically lead the delegation, but the government insists that the issues to be discussed at the NATO summit fall under the competence of the Prime Minister.
Earlier, the Constitutional Court ordered the accreditation of the president for participation in the summit, however, according to Macinka, this does not cancel the government's decision that the delegation is led by the Prime Minister. The Cabinet of Ministers is to make a final decision on the composition of the delegation on June 30.
