The match in Zhytomyr at the "Central City Stadium" started two hours later than scheduled due to an air raid alert in the region. The match started very unsuccessfully. Already in the 5th minute, "Chernihiv" defender Pavlo Shushko received a direct red card for a foul against "Metalist 1925" goalkeeper Danylo Varakuta.
In the 27th minute, "Metalist" managed to score a goal, but the referee disallowed Arevalo's goal due to offside.
Overall, the match was dominated by "Metalist 1925", as evidenced by statistics, particularly in ball possession - 86% against 14% in favor of the Kharkiv team.
