The Head of the Office of the President, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that a new exchange of prisoners of war between Ukraine and Russia may take place in the near future. Budanov said this during the international forum "Security Architecture," UNN reports.
"I think that in the near future you will see an exchange of prisoners of war,"
At the same time, Budanov emphasized that the issue of returning Ukrainian civilians remains significantly more difficult, as they cannot be exchanged for military personnel in equal numbers.
According to him, the return of civilians takes place through separate mechanisms.
The Head of the OP also noted that work on the release of Ukrainians continues under the instructions of the President of Ukraine; however, the pace of return does not yet meet public expectations.
