Law enforcement officers have launched a pre-trial investigation into the brutal murder of a Ukrainian defender by the occupiers with dismemberment of the body. This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office, UNN reports .
Under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General's Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated into the violation of the laws and customs of war combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Within the framework of the investigation, law enforcement officers are checking the information disseminated in social media about the murder of a Ukrainian serviceman and his dismemberment by representatives of the Russian Armed Forces
According to Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin, Russia consistently repeats the crimes of the Nazis, boldly demonstrating complete disregard for all the norms of the civilized world. "This egregious case is another reminder that the terrorist regime of the Russian Federation is evil. Evil must be punished," Kostin said.

A photo was posted on the Internet, allegedly with the body of a Ukrainian prisoner whose head and limbs were cut off by Russians. The Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, reacted and stated that he was urgently appealing to the ICRC and the UN.
