Ukraine may rename a number of cities and villages in different regions of Ukraine. Among other things, Brovary, Pavlohrad and Chervonohrad will receive new names. This was reported by UNN with reference to Roman Lozynsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on the Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning .
Details
According to him, five cities and 104 villages/settlements will be renamed as part of the decolonization procedure.
Among other things, the following renames are planned:
- Chervonohrad - Sheptytsky;
- The southern one is Port Annental;
- Pavlohrad - Matviyiv;
- Sinelnykove - Ridnopillia;
- Brovary - Brovary.
Important
It is worth noting that this decision is not final. Members of the Verkhovna Rada will still have to vote for it.

In the winter , Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov announced that the city authorities had decided to abandon Pushkin Street, and that it was now renamed in honor of Hryhoriy Skovoroda.
