British intelligence: Russia is deploying troops to Kursk and strengthening the region's defense

Russia is recovering from the initial chaos caused by the Ukrainian army's offensive in the Kursk region. Ukrainian troops have advanced 10-25 km deep into Russia, controlling more than 1,000 km² of territory.

The British Ministry of Defense confirms that Ukrainian troops have penetrated the Russian border region “to a depth of 10 to 25 km on a front of approximately 40 km.

Analysts also say that Russia's defense lines and border troops were "unprepared" for the Ukrainian offensive that began last week.
