The head of one of the departments of the Kyiv City State Administration has been notified of suspicion of systematic bribery. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, he took bribes from enterprises for issuing permits for emissions of pollutants, UNN reports.
Under the procedural supervision of the Prosecutor General's Office, the head of a department of the Kyiv City State Administration was exposed and served a notice of suspicion of systematic receipt of illegal benefit (Part 3 Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)
According to the investigation, the KCSA official set up a scheme to issue permits for companies to emit pollutants into the air for money. Such services cost from 1 to 20 thousand UAH.
For his fraud, he engaged employees of controlled business entities to receive funds on their bank cards. Subsequently, these funds were cashed and distributed among the group members.
The issue of choosing a measure of restraint and removing him from office is currently being decided.
The OGP also said that they had previously sent an indictment against three people who were members of the criminal group to the court for consideration on the merits.
