Actress Shannen Doherty, known for her roles in the popular TV series Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed (known as All Women Witches in Ukrainian cinema), has died, UNN reports citing Variety.
In 2015, the star was diagnosed with breast cancer. In recent months, the actress reported a deterioration in her condition. She was 53 years old.
The sad news was confirmed by the artist's friend, publicist Leslie Slovn.
"It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the death of actress Shannen Doherty. On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after years of fighting it," the publicist said.
In March 2015, the actress was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a course of treatment in 2017, the actress reported remission. However, in 2020, the cancer returned. In 2023, Doherty reported metastases in the brain and bones.
In April 2024, the artist announced that she had taken some practical and organizational steps to ensure that her mother would not have to deal with a number of issues that would arise after her death.
