At its meeting, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft law that proposes to ban the use of software products and access to electronic resources related to countries and individuals under sanctions. According to Melnychuk, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft law "On Amendments to the Law ‘On Sanctions’ Regarding the Prohibition of the Use of Software Products and Access to Electronic Information Resources.
The draft law proposes to define new types of sectoral sanctions, in particular, a ban on the distribution and use in Ukraine by legal entities of software products and their components originating from a foreign state that has been sanctioned or by persons who own such companies.
Sites and services that threaten national security will also be blocked.
The bill also proposes to ban access to websites owned by people or organizations under sanctions.
