German Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck, who was on a working visit to Ukraine, was forced to take refuge in a bomb shelter in Kyiv because of an air raid alarm, spending about an hour and a half there.

German Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck, who arrived in Ukraine on a working visit yesterday, met this morning in a bomb shelter, the German edition Tagesschau reports, according to UNN .

It is noted that the air raid alarm sounded in Kyiv at 4:40 am (3:40 am German time). Due to the threat of missile attack, the German politician and his colleagues had to go down to the underground parking lot of the hotel.

The German vice chancellor spent about an hour and a half there, waiting for the air raid to go off.

The publication said that Habeck has been in Ukraine since Thursday and continued his trip in the morning. The vice chancellor also planned a visit to Moldova to meet with local Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
